Virtual Produce GAPs Harmonized Standard Auditor Training

This virtual four half-day training will feature the official training materials developed by the Produce GAPs Harmonization Initiative Calibration Committee, designed to standardize food safety auditorsí use and expectations of the combined, Pre- and Post-harvest Harmonized Standards. The course will include an optional add-on at the end of the fourth day featuring the GLOBALG.A.P. HPSS riders/addendum. You must attend the full workshop to receive the certificate.

While specifically targeted towards auditors who offer audits/certifications to the Harmonized Standard, this training is open to all audit organization members, growers, and other interested parties currently using the harmonized standards. The training will cover the details of what an auditor should expect to see at an operation, how an auditor evaluates an operation based on the evidence they observe, and how evaluations may change based on different scenarios.

Trainers for this workshop will include Dr. Emily Griep and Dr. Jennifer McEntire with United Fresh, Rebecca Anderson with GLOBALG.A.P. Steve Warshawer from Winrock International, and Jennifer Dougherty, Team Lead, USDA-AMS.

Who Should Attend:

Primary: 3rd party auditors who plan to audit to the Harmonized Standards; GLOBALG.A.P. auditors

Secondary: Fresh produce growers who want to operate to the Harmonized Standards, extension and other food safety resources for growers and packers, and anyone else interested in learning about the Harmonized Standards

Cancellation and Other Policies:

Cancellations must be submitted no later than two weeks prior to the start date of the training to be issued a refund, less a $50 cancellation fee. Due to the unique nature and limited size of this course, cancellations made less than two weeks will not be issued a refund. Company substitutions are acceptable.
