Be Recall Ready. Itís just good businessÖand now itís also the law.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) published the final rule on
Current Good Manufacturing Practice and Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food and according to this new food safety regulation, companies subject to the rule must have a written recall plan.
Want to know what should be in a recall plan? Join us April 10-11 for the Recall Ready Workshop at Darden Restaurants Headquarters in Orlando, FL.
This hands on course will help you understand the fundamentals of a product recall, including your rights and responsibilities, the role of the FDA, how to limit your liability and manage customer expectations. In addition, we'll take an in-depth look at how to build a customized communication plan in the event of a recall, and how to effectively communicate to the industry, customers, consumers and the media.
This course is designed for everyone on your produce recall team. At the very least, your recall team should include management, technical staff and marketing/communications staff. If a product recall is not properly handled by your entire team, it can quickly turn into a crisis situation. This course will combine recall protocols and communication management principles to ensure that both your technical food safety staff and communication and marketing staff work together effectively and efficiently during product recall.
Trainers generally include, food safety, FDA regulatory attorney, and crisis communications experts, FDA recall coordinator, and recall insurance representative.
