With FDA’s publication of the final Preventive Controls Rule under the Food Safety Modernization Act, United Fresh will provide a multi-faceted training program to assist produce industry members in complying with the new regulation.

The Preventive Controls for Human Food final rule will require companies subject to the rule to have a "preventive controls qualified individual" on staff (or consultant) trained to an FDA-approved curriculum.

United Fresh will deliver this FDA-approved training for fresh-cut processors using curricula from the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) to address the regulations.

The training session will be taught by Dr. David Gombas and a second FSPCA lead instructor. This training will be of specific value to the fresh-cut produce sector, as United Fresh has developed fresh-cut example plans that have been reviewed by FDA and will be used to ensure these sessions are relevant to fresh-cut companies.

Registration Includes:
Training Materials and Certificate
Lite Breakfast and Lunch

Who Should Attend:
This training will train “preventive controls qualified individuals” under the Preventive Controls for Human Food Rule and those individuals who complete this session will receive a certificate from the Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO), International Food Protection Training Institute (IFPTI) and The Institute for Food Safety and Health (IFSH), and be qualified to meet the standards in the regulation.
